How I envision the pacific northwest
I’m very lucky to have such a wonderful mother-in-law. She sent me a tumble weed and some moss a while back and I cherish them deeply. I wanted to create a series of spoons incorporating resin, that spoke to specific environments. Meadows, deserts, mountains, beaches, the feeling of the Appalachian mountains or Joshua tree. And this spoon is what I envision of PNW. Moss dancing through trees, meadows of wild chamomile and daisies. I carved a triple bowl spoon out of curly maple and finished the entire piece in food grade mineral oil and local bees wax from Honey & the Hive. Please hand wash, towel dry, and re-oil when needed.
